Check Weather SG is a mobile application designed specifically for users in Singapore, serving as a native counterpart to its web application counterpart found at checkweather.sg.

2-HOUR WEATHER MAP
The app features a dynamic two-hour weather map that allows users to monitor the movement of rain clouds over time. It displays crucial meteorological data, including temperature (°C), relative humidity (%), and rainfall (mm). The precipitation radar is updated every five minutes, providing contextual insights into both past and forecasted weather conditions.

PERIODIC RAIN ALERTS
Users can enable rain alert notifications by tapping on the information icon (ⓘ). These push notifications are triggered whenever significant rain cloud coverage is detected over Singapore, continuing until the rain has subsided. Periodic updates include coverage percentage information, offering insight into cloud movement and rainfall duration.

WEATHER MAP IN TODAY VIEW
The application provides an up-to-the-minute weather display directly accessible from the Today widget. Users can easily swipe from the Lock screen or Home Screen to view the latest precipitation radar and temperature information (°C), offering a practical alternative to standard weather widgets that typically only showcase basic temperature readings and aesthetic charts.

WEATHER AND RADAR MAP WIDGET (NEW FOR iOS 14+)
For those using iOS 14 and above, the app introduces a weather map widget that can be placed on both the Home Screen and Today View. Various widget sizes present the latest precipitation radar and temperature information (°C) in a concise manner, significantly enhancing usability compared to typical weather widgets.
